Art 1: Personal Narritve Comics

Storytelling is a skill that has been valued all throughout history. George Washington students will follow in that great human tradition by creating a personal narrative comic strip. These stories will range from humorous to disturbing, from light-hearted to heart breaking, and everywhere in-between. Students will look at a wide range of artists such as Layla Ali, Gary Baseman, Camille Rose Garcia, Takaski Murakami, and many others as well as traditional comics (Batman and the like) before creating their own pieces.
