Art 2: Non-Traditional Portraiture​

 

While taking Art 1 students completed a 'traditional' self portrait. In Art 2 we re-examine the topic by looking portraits going all the way back to Rembrandt and Munch and draw a line to contemporary artists like Kehinde Wiley and Sheldon Scott.

 

Students then pitch either a portrait or a self portrait and create it using the medium(s) of their choice on a canvas.
