Art 2: Land Art
Our unit on Land Art is always one of the most popular projects we do each year. We are blessed at George Washington to have 2 courtyards in which students can create art.
We start Honors Art 2 each year with this group project. Students first view and discuss works by artists such as Andy Goldsworthy, Robert Smithson, James Turrell. After being given time to consider their sites and materials students as a group work to execute these pieces in our schools courtyard.
